They were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay with them wonderful. The location within walking distance of the town was perfect.

Neil and Avril were wonderful hosts - very friendly and helpful with lots of detailed suggestions of things to see and do on our trip. Athlone is incredibly charming with many nice restaurants (special shout-out to The Fatted Calf) and things to see. We enjoyed our visit and will be back on our next visit to Ireland.

Our stay in the Riverdale House Athlone was a very enjoyable experience, from the moment of arrival to our departure. The Hosts were very friendly and attentive and made our stay very welcoming. The House/Room was very spotless and clean. I would definitely remend this B&B to anybody visiting Athlone.

Loved the experience at the Riverdale House. I enjoyed experiencing the true warmth and hospitality of the Irish people!

My only concern is the temperature of the hot water. I used only hot water in the shower, and it was barely above lukewarm.

It was spotless… sheets and towels smelt lovely. Breakfast was just right too. Great location to walk into Athlone.. lovely quiet area..

I really can’t think of anything other than the room being quite small even it wasn’t a dislike as we managed fine…..

Exceptionally friendly and helpful owners. They gave us recommendations on sites to see that were spot on and helped us sort out a reservation at Tullamore. The breakfast was great.

Everything was really perfect: the warm welcome, the beautiful decorated an very clean room, the great breakfast buffet. Also the informations about things to see or to do were very helpful and interesting.

We just loved our stay. You were both such kind hosts and were very helpful. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The furniture was giving narnia vibes and the bed was super comfy, better than ours back home. We couldn’t find fault with our stay. It was perfect.

Beautiful , elegant, yet comfortable stay. The nice touches by the hosts such as the tea service in the room made it more special. Lovely breakfast in the morning and we enjoyed the conversation with Avril who also provided great ideas of places to see on our travels. Would happily stay here again!

The hosts were super friendly and took the time to chat. The rooms were nicely renovated and very comfortable. There was onsite parking, the property was easy to locate and only a short walk from the castle and pubs. Just lovely.
